Bonnie Arnold

  • Competitor on the WPBA Pro Tour since 2017
  • BCA National Champion in 2013
  • 3x Wisconsin State Champion
  • 2x BCW State Champion
  • 2x Illinois State Champion

George Brunt

  • A Wisconsin road player that traveled across the U.S. for months at a time with backers
  • One of the most feared players in the state during the 1970s
  • He was self-supported with pool and gambled with anyone, even beating Minnesota Fats
  • Not known as a tournament player, but was the champion at a pro event in Chicago during the late 1970s

Dave Coles Jr.

  • 6x State Champion in Masters events (BCA, WAMO, WSPA)
  • 2x BCW Straight Pool Champion
  • 1995 Chicago McDermott Open Champion
  • Owner/Operator of the Carom Room for 29 years
  • Cue builder, table mechanic and TD for 30 years

Ron Dobosenski

  • Champion of the BCW 14.1 event in 3 consecutive years
  • 3x 9-Ball BCW State Champion and 1x Illinois State Champion.  WI Team State Champion
  • Second overall best performer in BCW competition history
  • Turned professional in 1983
  • Billiards instructor and past pool hall owner

Julie Fitzpatrick

  • 2x Women’s State Champion in BCW events
  • 8x Consecutive years placing in the Top 3 in BCW Events
  • Multiple U.S. National Team Championships
  • 2x ACUI Collegiate National Champion

Gordy Hart

  • Founder of Viking Cues in the early 1960s
  • Expanded to international selling in the late 1960s
  • Supporter of the International Challenge of Champions, the Viking 9-Ball Pro Tour, Trick Shot Magic, and more
  • 1994 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Cue Makers Association

Steve Hayes

  • North American BCA titles in 1994 and 1995 (Open 8-Ball and Masters Scotch Doubles)
  • State Champion and runner up multiple times (As recent as 2015)
  • 4x National Team Champion
  • Straight pool runs over 100 balls 27 times (High run of 166)
  • 10x City Team Champion

Pete Heard

Rob Hovick

  • Collegiate Regional Champion for 3 consecutive years (1970s)

  • President of the WIBCA for 8 years
  • Pool hall owner and operator in Marshfield for 9 years

John Lewis

  • Producer of the WI ACS State Championships (2006-2020)
  • Introduced billiards into the Badger State Games (2006-2021)
  • National Masters Champion (ACS-2022 at age 70)
  • Director/Referee of hundreds of Local, Regional and Professional events
  • Served for more than 3 decades in Executive Director / VP roles across BCA, ACS, WPA and WPBA organizations (1989-present)

Greg Manske

  • US National Team Champion 1988
  • Las Vegas Open (Top 10 finish, 1988)
  • Mid-American Classic Team Champion 1995
  • Mid-American Classic 9-Ball Champion 1995
  • Tournament Director – McDermott Masters in Las Vegas

Joe Pechauer

  • Began making pool cues in 1977 with his father, Jerry
  • Became president of J Pechauer Custom Cues in 2007
  • 3x winner of the American Cuemakers Association Cue of the Year award
  • Inducted into the International Cuemakers Hall of Fame in 2021
  • Active supporter of the Billiard Education Foundation

Suzi Quall

  • 10x Placing in the Top 3 in National singles competitions in the 80’s and 90’s

  • 9x WI State Champion in multiple states in the Midwest
  • 10x Casino Tour Championships during the 90’s and 00’s
  • More than 10 Team Championships in State BCA, WAMO and WSPA and National competitions

Lynn Reed

  • Poolhall owner and operator for over 50 year
  • President of the BCW for 5 years, plus time as Vice President
  • National Pocket Billiards Hall of Fame, Class of 1987
  • 6x US Open Team National Champion, multiple NPBA Championships
  • First woman player allowed on a men’s team in NPBA history

CRITERIA FOR BALLOT ELIGIBILITY

OFFICIAL CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION

  1. The nominee must have shown dignity, class, and a respect for both for the game of billiards and others around them who either play or promote the game.
  2.  The nominee must have either:
    A: Attained proven, exemplary billiards achievements in the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
    B: Have unquestionably promoted the game of billiards in Wisconsin for the betterment of others.
  3. The nominee must be a minimum of 45 years of age.  In the event that a nominee has passed away prior to reaching their 45th birthday, they will still be considered at the discretion of the board of directors.
  4. The nominee must have been involved with the game of billiards in the state of Wisconsin for a minimum of 20 years. (This includes players, tournament directors, pool hall owners, referees, cue makers, instructors, and others dedicated to the promotion of the game).
  5. The nominee must not be on the Wisconsin Billiards Hall of Fame ineligible list. This list is comprised of individuals who are banned from any state billiards organizations. This may be the result of conduct at a billiards event or personal criminal records.

Four individuals will be elected to the Wisconsin Billiards Hall of Fame each year.

(3 persons) Elected each year based on membership voting (percentage of total vote)

(1 person) Elected each year based on voting within the WIBHOF Board of Directors (percentage of board total vote)

Ballot results will be publicly announced on our website in the Spring of each year. In case of a tie, a board vote will be used to make the final decision. These criteria may be changed at any time based on the discretion of the WIBHOF Board of Directors.
